Founded in 1996, Carpe Diem established itself as a frontrunner and the foundation of what would become a modern, avant garde, minimal fashion movement. Employing a cache of talented designers including pattern cutter & leather worker Maurizio Amadei, Carpe Diem disbanded in 2006, giving way to the launch of Amadei's own brand m.a+. The collection expands on Carpe Diem's vision of artisanal avant garde, resulting in a forward thinking line of clothing and leather goods that feature structural silhouettes with minimal design. Amadei’s innovative approach to clothing and leather manifests itself in expertly conceived pieces that are often virtually seamless, cut from just one or two pattern pieces. Each piece from m.a+ is meticulously designed and hand crafted in Rome.
